A construction worker was crushed by a forklift and had to undergo an emergency hemicorporectomy, meaning he now lives with no pelvis, forearm, or legs.
Loren Schauer, 20, had to have an emergency operation due to a horrific freak accident in September 2019 while working on a bridge with a forklift.
Loren fell 50ft from the bridge after getting too close to the edge and was crushed by a forklift which cut his forearm, crushed him, and led to him losing half of his body.

Faced with the decision of major surgery, the courageous man bravely made the decision to allow doctors to perform hemicorporectomy surgery to save his life.
The operation meant that everything below his waist was amputated.
Doctors didn’t expect Loren to survive a few months after the operation and still believed Loren would die.
However, he defied those odds and has made significant progress since.
The 20-year-old from Great Falls, Montana revealed the one question he is asked by strangers that irks him is how he and his dedicated wife Sabia Reiche, 23, have sex, the Daily Star reports.
His wife Sabia has stuck by him through thick and thin and is his carer who is responsible for daily tasks such as changing his colostomy bags and showering him.
Loren has adjusted as best he can since his accident and now creates weekly content through explainer videos and shares them with his followers on YouTube.
Despite the life the two have made, they still face the question from strangers online about how they have sex.
Loren's major operation led to the removal of his genitalia as his pelvis was completely crushed in the accident.
He previously said doctors had made efforts to save some of his sperm but then decided it wasn't 'viable.'
During a Q&A, Loren’s wife Sabia responded to the rude question and warned that it was extremely 'disrespectful' and very ‘personal’, that you wouldn’t ask a couple on the street such a question, and explained how it was inappropriate.
Sabia said: "A question we get repeatedly is how do we have sex and how do we become intimate.
"That is a very personal question that we are never going to answer or allude to as it's very disrespectful."
She added: "You wouldn't ask a random couple on the street how they have sex and just because our life circumstances are different, it doesn't give people the right to ask."
Sabia acknowledged Loren’s circumstance was ‘rare’ and discussed his life expectancy.
She explained that due to the severity of Loren's major surgery it was 'touch and go' and she hoped he would live for 40 or more years.
The devoted wife said: "It's touch and go, there's no for sure. The average is about 11 years and the record-holder was 24 years. But none of them were in the same situation as Loren.
"If we go off of that we are hoping Loren has 40 plus years left with us.
"Because his case was so rare it's hard to pinpoint," she said.
To help improve Loren’s life quality in the meantime, the positive couple has set up a Go Fund me and is appealing for donations to help fund a new bionic arm for Loren.
The bionic arm will restore the full sense of touch and movement of each digit in the hand.
Speaking on the fundraiser, Loren thanked people who donated so far, and said: "I’m happy to say though that I have a Million And One people backing me and rooting me on to keep fighting! I love and appreciate you all! Words don’t do any of you all justice."
