The North Carolina man credited with starting the "Thank You Jesus" movement as a teenager was arrested on felony charges of exploiting underage girls, according to police.

A tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in January led police to Lucas Timothy Hunt, the creator of the yellow-and-black "Thank You Jesus" signs that are popular in the Carolinas, according to WBTV.

The Asheboro man was arrested after law enforcement discovered he received a video of two underage girls forced to engage in a sex act, WRAL reported.

Hunt was arrested on Tuesday and charged with one count of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony. He was being held on $75,000 bond.

The 25-year-old suspect was credited with creating a yellow-and-black "Thank You Jesus" yard sign to celebrate Easter in 2016. It then grew into a crusade through which Hunt sold more than 250,000 signs, magnets, flags and bracelets. He reportedly donated the proceeds to spiritual nonprofits, per WRAL.
