Man who died in Houston crash named as Scott Sanderson as officers issue appeal

A man who died in a crash in Houston has been named as 48-year-old Scott Sanderson from Johnstone.

The collision happened on Houston Road at around 11.50pm on Saturday, March 26. Emergency services raced to the scene following reports of a car on fire but Scott was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed to all vehicles following the fatal collision as officers carried out enquiries.

Police Scotland has confirmed an investigation into the crash is ongoing and urged anyone with information about the incident to contact them.

Sergeant Adnan Alam, of the Glasgow Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with Scott’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing and we continue to urge anyone with information, or possible dashcam footage from the area, to call 101, quoting incident number 4563 of 26 March.”
