A man who died after crashing a Range Rover into a field during a police chase has been named as Paul Parker. The 40-year-old, from Nantwich was involved in a crash on the A51 Chester Road after the vehicle was pursued by police, but failed to stop, at around 11:30pm on Thursday March 24.
The Range Rover he was driving left the road during the police pursuit and ended up in a field. Paul sadly died at the scene. His grieving family have asked for privacy as they mourn his death.
The incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct for further investigation. The IOPC said its “thoughts are with those affected by this tragic incident”.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: “A man who died following a collision on the A51 in Nantwich has been named as Paul Parker. Paul, 40, from Nantwich, was the driver of a Range Rover involved in the incident at around 11.30pm on Thursday 24 March.
“Sadly, Paul passed away at the scene. Paul’s family have asked for privacy at this time to allow them space to grieve."
