Man who died after attack outside London Wetherspoons is named

A man who died in an attack outside a Wetherspoon’s pub in south London has been named by police as a man appeared in court accused of his murder.

Charlie Prodromou, 63, was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition after police were called to the Watch House pub in Lewisham High Street at 8.39pm on Saturday, March 1.

He was taken to hospital where he later died. His family have been informed.

It is believed Mr Prodromou was assaulted following a disturbance at the pub.

Paul Tallant, 42, of Eltham has been charged with his murder and appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday

He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, March 5.
