Man who vanished after checking out of Scots hotel last week found safe and well

A Scots man who disappeared after checking out of a hotel in Inverness almost a week ago has been found safe and well.

Leslie Robertson, from Caithness, left Barrack on Sunday November 13 to travel to Inverness, where he stayed at the Palace Hotel in Inverness. He checked out of the Best Western hotel on Wednesday November 16.

The 57-year-old did not return home from the Highland city and had not been in touch with his family or friends since, which they described as "uncharacteristic".

Leslie was reported missing to police on Monday, November 21, and enquiries were launched. Today, officers confirmed that Leslie has been traced 'safe and well'.

A spokesperson for Northern Police division said: "We are pleased to report that Leslie Robertson, missing from Caithness, has been traced safe and well. Thank you to everyone who shared our information.
