A man woke up in hospital with two bleeds on his brain after being attacked on a night out in Liverpool.
Cameron Tunstall woke to find two detectives at his bedside after reportedly being attacked by a gang of two men and a woman outside Subway on Saturday morning. The last thing he can remember is being in a bar with his friends, the Liverpool Echo reports.
The 22-year-old, from Woodchurch, Wirral, had been out for a meal first in the city centre on Friday evening. He then went to various bars and clubs including the Red Lion, Electrick Warehouse and then Teddy's with his friends.

But Cameron's night ended in him being rushed to hospital. Police confirmed they were called to Bold Street just after 4.15am on Saturday, May 6, after a man was found unconscious on the ground - the man being Cameron.
It was reported that he had been assaulted outside Subway. Cameron said he can't remember what happened, but from his bank transactions he could see that he bought food from Subway and was likely heading to a taxi rank to go home back in Wirral.
He said: "I know [we went to Teddy's] because when I had woken up I had a picture with a friend in a photobooth in there. That's how I figured out we went to Teddy's.
"From what I gathered from my bank transactions, I went to Subway and that's where I read on the ECHO it happened. I woke up, I think, quite early yesterday morning.
"I don't really know timestamps because when I actually woke up, I was just in a room with two detectives who were speaking to me about what happened."
A 25-year-old woman, who comes from London, was arrested nearby and taken to a police station for questioning by detectives. Cameron suffered two bleeds on the brain, one going into his brain and the other outside his skull, a broken nose and damage to his eye.
He added: "I have been going through eye steroids and they have been putting that in my eye about four times a day. My sight has improved a lot with it though, it is still a bit blurry when I close my right eye, but it is a lot better and I can keep it open a lot more today than I actually could yesterday.
"I couldn't open it at all yesterday without it being really painful."
Cameron said this wasn't the first time he has been attacked in the city centre. He said last year a man hit him near Pop World, causing him to fall and bang his head.
He was rushed to hospital and had brain scans to check he had no internal bleeding or a head injury. But the scans revealed something else and were sent to the Walton Centre who confirmed Cameron had a brain tumour.
He said: "My friends were shocked about it because this actually happened last year as well in August. Last time it happened it was outside Pop World and I was walking past there to get a taxi again.
"Some man turned round and hit me and I had fallen back and hit my head but that time when I was taken to the Royal, this was on August 28 last year, they did some scans to make sure there was no internal bleeding or head injury.
"But they ended up having to send the scans over to the Walton Centre and they found a brain tumour on the back of my head. I have kind of come to terms with it now and I obviously don't have the best luck on a night out apparently.
"I am going to try and not go on them as frequently now, as I am obviously not having the best of luck."
Police have now appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who saw the offenders running away from the scene, to come forward. They also want to talk to taxi drivers from the nearby Hackney cab rank on Hanover Street, as they could have vital dashcam footage, which could help identify the two men who remain at large.
Drivers can upload dashcam footage to be viewed by police via the following link to the NICE website HERE.
Anyone who can assist the investigation is asked to DM @MerPolCC or message Merseyside Police Contact Centre on Facebook, quoting reference 0152 of 6 May. You can also pass information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
