Both sides have enjoyed an acceptable start to the campaign, especially the visitors, who have been solid if not spectacular under manager Antonio Conte.

For the hosts, Scott McTominay is back from his one-match suspension, while keeper Martin Dubravka returns to the mix after missing the match against parent club Newcastle United at the weekend.

Harry Maguire (thigh), Donny van de Beek (muscular) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (muscular) are all ruled out, while ten Hag will be sweating on the fitness of Anthony Martial (lower back) and Christian Eriksen (illness).
