Manchester United should try to pull of a sensational swoop for Liverpool star Roberto Firmino, according to ex-Old Trafford favourite Kleberson.
The Reds star is one of three Liverpool attackers rapidly approaching the end of their current deal alongside Sadio Mane and talisman Mohamed Salah, with all three contracts set to expire at the end of next season. According to reports, the club view extending Salah's deal as a priority, but there is every chance the Egypt international prices himself out of a new deal given his staggering wage demands.
As things stand, all eyes are firmly fixated on securing results as Jurgen Klopp's side are still remarkably in the running for what would be a historic quadruple. With the Carabao Cup already under their belt, Liverpool have reached the final four of the FA Cup and will travel to Benfica for the first-leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
They also breathe down the necks of league-leaders Manchester City, who boast a slender one point advantage over the Reds. As a result, Klopp will need all three of his attackers in question to put contract concerns to one side in an effort to write their names into British football folklore.
Firmino has long been viewed as the player most likely to depart first out of the attacking trio that struck fear into so many defences across the continent at their peak and if ex-United midfielder Kleberson has his way the Reds forward will remain in the Premier League when the time to leave does come.
Speaking to Paddy Power, the former Brazil international said: "Roberto Firmino’s style would suit Manchester United, especially the way he plays for Liverpool. For the Brazil national team, he plays higher up, but for Liverpool he’s a bit deeper. He’s learned so many things from Jurgen Klopp and he is so smart on the pitch."

"His movement to create space, or sometimes to occupy space, allows his teammates to. If Manchester United wanted to make a change, he’s a good player that can help, especially with Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho on the wings. Firmino can help those players create space when they’re on the attack.
"That’s the type of player Manchester United should be looking at. A player with Firmino’s quality can help release the team. He's a great player and he’d be a good fit, and a good signing for Manchester United."
While Kleberson can't be accused of not aiming high enough, the odds of Firmino swapping the red of Liverpool for the red of United are slim. The 30-year-old has earned legend status for his efforts in ending Liverpool's lengthy wait for a Premier League title as well as securing a sixth Champions League crown back in 2019.
