Manchester United return to action next week but all attention is on the opening of the January transfer window next month.
The Red Devils are intent on replacing the departed Cristiano Ronaldo to aid their chances of making the top four this season, and recent reports have revealed that they have already held a ‘meeting’ with one potential target. Elsewhere, United have been told what they must pay to sign Portuguese sensation Goncalo Ramos, who excelled at the World Cup, while Diogo Dalot has set his contract demands.

United hold ‘meeting’ in Naples
United have been linked with a move for Napoli defender Kim Min-jae this month and have taken a step closer to signing him by holding a meeting with his representatives.
Journalist Antonio Corrado recently told Fuorigioco on Tele A (via areanapoli ) that there was a meeting between Kim and an unnamed foreign club who spoke in English at the Paradiso Hotel in Naples back in November, before reports began linking the Red Devils with a move for the South Korean international.
The Gazzetta dello Sport added that “the club in question was Manchester United ”. Should this be true, then it seems the Red Devils are willing to splash the cash once more to bolster their defensive ranks.

Ramos price revealed
Since netting a hat-trick in Portugal’s 6-1 rout of Switzerland in the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup, Benfica striker Ramos has attracted plenty of attention from clubs across Europe ahead of the January window.
United have been backed to sign him as a replacement for his comrade, Ronaldo, and following those reports, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has revealed what it will take for the Red Devils to capture the Benfica man.
Speaking on The United Stand YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that, although the Red Devils are not yet in contact with the striker or his representatives, it is likely that a bid of “more than €70m (£60m)” will be needed to sign the 21-year-old.
Dalot sets out contract demands
United right-back Dalot has revealed the one condition that must be met if he is to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese defender has been revived under Ten Hag this season but there is the concern that he will not stay on in Manchester beyond this season after his deal expires next summer.
Dalot has stated that he is willing to sign a contract extension if he is guaranteed a starting spot next season, according to SPORT. With United looking to bring in a new right-back, they may face losing out on the 23-year-old as a result.
