Manchester United may be on the market but that hasn't stopped Erik ten Hag from drawing up plans ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Glazer family are edging closer to a full sale after 18 years at the helm, with supporters hoping for a takeover to be completed before the end of this season. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani remain the frontrunners to win the keys to Old Trafford, having each made two official bids.
Meanwhile, following Wednesday's crucial 1-0 win at home to Brentford, Ten Hag is working behind the scenes alongside United's recruitment team in an effort to strengthen his squad for next term. Harry Kane, Frenkie de Jong and Jude Bellingham have all been tipped for a big-money transfer like a host of other stars, but it's not plain sailing for the Red Devils.
Here's a round-up of the latest transfer news from Old Trafford.
Kane stance emerges
Harry Kane remains Manchester United's absolute top priority going into the summer transfer window. The Tottenham striker, 29, is enjoying another superb season with his beloved club but Erik ten Hag wants to prise him away from North London and make him the focal point of United's attack.
According to The Athletic, Ten Hag remains steadfast in his desire to sign Kane, despite indications that Spurs would fight tooth and nail to keep their star player, just as they did in 2021 when Manchester City came calling. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is a stern negotiator which has prompted the Red Devils to seek out alternatives if a deal is unable to be struck.
Kolo Muani wants Bayern
Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani, who's been tagged as a backup option to Kane, wants to join German giants Bayern Munich this summer. The France international has been increasingly linked with United in recent weeks, with Ten Hag admiring his outstanding record of 12 goals and 10 assists in 25 Bundesliga games this season.
However, Kolo Muani favours a move to Bavaria, as reported by German publication Sport1, and Bayern have already confirmed their interest in signing a striker this summer. Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic even mentioned the Frenchman when discussing potential targets, all of whom are also of interest to United.
"In all likelihood, there will be a new striker," Salihamidzic told Sky Germany. "Whether it's Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen or Randal Kolo Muani, the coming weeks will show."

United face competition for Raya
If the Red Devils decide to target a new goalkeeper this summer, then signing Brentford shot-stopper David Raya won't be easy. While David de Gea, Raya's Spanish compatriot, remains in talks over a new contract at Old Trafford, Ten Hag could still bring in another goalkeeper to challenge the long-serving star.
The Telegraph explain that aside from Tottenham and Chelsea eyeing the Brentford No.1, a number of clubs from LaLiga are also weighing up a transfer swoop. Highly-rated Raya played at Old Trafford on Wednesday as United beat his side 1-0 to move back into the Premier League top four.
