Man Utd transfer round-up: Delayed takeover costs Erik ten Hag deal as Amad swap touted

Manchester United 's summer business has not yet got off the ground amid concerns about the affect their takeover might have.

The future of the Old Trafford hierarchy remains unclear, which is filtering down into other areas. Erik ten Hag is working with a limited budget having spent big in his first summer. The Dutchman's priority is on adding a marquee striker who can help their goalscoring problems.

United are also eyeing full-backs whilst several big names could leave Manchester this summer as Ten Hag continues to make changes. Harry Kane was very much on their radar, but they now look set to pursue other options with Tottenham set to play hardball in negotiations.

Here's the latest transfer rumours from Old Trafford.

Takeover costs deal

Erik ten Hag has been left fuming as United look set to miss out on transfer target Kim Min-jae with the Napoli defender poised to join Bayern Munich.

Kim, 26, has been linked with a summer switch to Old Trafford for months after starring in Napoli’s run to the title. The South Korean only joined the Serie A club last season from Fenerbahce but such were the level of his performances, he has admirers across Europe’s top clubs.

United’s hopes of signing Kim are now diminishing amid the uncertainty over United’s takeover situation. The club’s Glazer owners initiated the sales process seven months ago and despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim both tabling multiple bids, United’s future remains unclear.

Amad-Hojlund swap

United are ready to offer Amad back to Atalanta in an attempt to sweeten the deal for Rasmus Hojlund.

The young Dane has emerged as a major summer target for those at Old Trafford but the Italian side want a huge fee if they are to part with the forward. As a result the Red Devils are prepared to let the young Ivorian, whom they signed from Atalanta, go back to Bergamo on loan, reports the Express.

Amad just enjoyed a very productive loan spell at Sunderland, but opportunities are not likely to come his way in Manchester yet. As a result they're prepared to let him leave on loan once again with Hojlund moving in the other direction for less than the £86m they've already been quoted.

Rashford contract close

Marcus Rashford is close to agreeing a new contract extension with Manchester United worth nearly £100million.

The United striker has one year left on his current deal, but Mirror Football understands he is ready to pen to paper on a new agreement worth around £375,000-a-week.

The new contract, believed to be a five-year deal with the option of an extra year, will make Rashford United's highest-paid player, replacing goalkeeper David De Gea.
