Manchester United are expected to be busy in the January transfer window as Erik ten Hag again aims to add to his squad.
A striker features high on the Red Devils’ shopping list as they attempt to recruit a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese has sealed a record-breaking move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr following his Old Trafford exit.
It remains to be seen if United will move for a new forward, but that has not stopped a vast array being linked with a switch to the club. With that being said, here are the latest transfer rumours coming out of Old Trafford.
Red Devils eye Aboubakar
Whilst Ronaldo has departed, United could potentially be set to make a move for his new Al-Nassr teammate Vincent Aboubakar. According to the Daily Mail, a loan switch for the 30-year-old Cameroonian could be an option as the Red Devils attempt to bolster their forward line.
The former Porto man is set to fall down the pecking order in Saudi Arabia following Ronaldo’s arrival at the club. He could be set for a temporary switch - a deal that could potentially satisfy Ten Hag if United are limited to loans in the winter window.
Aboubakar has already sent a strong message to Ronaldo ahead of his arrival at Al-Nassr with his recent goalscoring display, whilst he has also developed a rivalry with Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.

United make Dani Olmo offer
Another position that could be strengthened this January is in midfield, with United having reportedly made an effort to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo.
As per reports from Nacional, via football365, the Red Devils have made an offer for the playmaker after missing out to Liverpool for Cody Gakpo. They face competition in an effort to sign Olmo, though, with Bayern Munich - who are managed by the Spaniard’s former boss, Julian Nagelsmann - also keen.
It is unclear how much the Red Devils have tabled, or if Olmo would be interested in a move to Old Trafford. The 24-year-old has just a year and a half left to run on his contract at Leipzig.
Atleti set Felix price
United have been issued fresh instructions on how they could seal a deal for Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix. According to The Athletic, the Spanish club are aiming to receive a total financial package of €21million (£18.6m) in order to let him leave.
That would comprise a base €15m (£13.2m) loan fee, as well as Felix’s gross salary of €6m (£5.3m). Super-agent Jorge Mendes is thought to be at the heart of talks with the Red Devils, as well as negotiations with Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.
