Man Utd to make €50million bid for second new signing tonight and £70m star gives Liverpool his answer

These are the latest transfer rumours from the Premier League and around the globe on Friday, June 30

Mount's medical booked and €50million bid to follow

Mason Mount will have his Manchester United medical on Monday.

United have reached a breakthrough with Chelsea over a deal to take the England international to Old Trafford, with a £60million deal now in place.

Mount's move from Stamford Bridge to United looked off earlier this week but a U-turn on Thursday has seen the transfer back on again, with the Telegraph now reporting he will have his medical checks at the start of next week.

United return to pre-season training on the same day.

Personal terms have already been agreed and a five-year contract is on the table for the Blues' youth product to sign.

The 24-year-old will leave London having notched up 33 goals and 37 assists in 195 appearances.

Meanwhile, United are set to make their first official move for keeper André Onana tonight.

The first bid is expected tonight, says transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, with talks between clubs "progressing quickly".

A bid worth €50million plus bonuses would be accepted, the report states.

Barella gives Liverpool his answer

Nicolo Barella is set to reject Liverpool's advances this summer.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the midfielder, who has been tipped to make a £70million move to Anfield this summer.

However, according to Sky Sports, Barrella now is leaning towards staying with his club Inter Milan, wanting to become a club legend at the San Siro.

Liverpool have been linked with a number of alternatives this summer, including RB Leipzig's Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Hungarian international has been capped 32 times by his country and has a release clause in his contract, which expires today.

Meanwhile. talks are said to be progressing between Liverpool and OGC Nice's Khephren Thuram.

Transfer expert Rudy Galetti wrote on Twitter: "Talks between Liverpool and OGCNice for Khephren Thuram are progressing. The 2 clubs are working to reach an agreement for around €40/45m (£34/39m).

"No issues on personal terms."

Arsenal move ahead in race for 'sensation'

Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign Fenerbahce starlet Arda Guler.

The 18-year-old is also coveted by Eddie Howe's Newcastle United, but Football Insider report it is the Gunners who are now ahead in the battle to capture the talented midfielder.

The Magpies have held talks with the starlet, the report states, but the Londoners are well positioned to land the signature of the player labelled "a sensation". Barcelona and Ajax have also shown interest after he showed his qualities for Turkey against Wales earlier this month.

At such a tender age, any move to the Premier League would likely see the teen face a fight for minutes.

Meanwhile, Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun is likely to leave the Emirates this summer.

Chelsea 'offer' star to Bayern

Sport1, via SportWitness, report Chelsea have offered Bayern Munich the opportunity to sign Wesley Fofana this summer.

There has been something of a mass exodus at Stamford Bridge following the end of a miserable campaign in west London. Mason Mount is on his way to Manchester United, Kai Havertz has gone to Arsenal and a plethora of other players are heading for the exit door as the Blues try to balance their squad.

Fofana only played 17 games last term after suffering with a knee injury.

Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel worked with Fofana during his short stint in the English capital and was in charge when he signed from Leicester City.

The report states the France star is valued at €70million by the Blues and this price tag is "clearly too expensive" for the Bundesliga champions.
