Bruno Fernandes is no stranger to dividing opinion or causing controversy, with many fans and pundits alike passionate in their criticism or defence of him since he joined Manchester United.
However, riling those off the pitch is one thing, if you start to get under the skin of your own teammates it is an entirely different problem altogether. And yet, that is exactly what Fernandes did on Sunday, during United's hard-fought 1-0 over Aston Villa.
In many ways, his performance summed up Fernandes' entire time at Old Trafford. It was his goal that proved the difference between the two sides, with the Portugal international responding fastest after Marcus Rashford's strike was parried into danger.
Despite being the match-winner, Fernandes was also the subject of multiple complaints from his teammates on the pitch.
The first came from Jadon Sancho, who was spotted by eagle-eyed United fans ordering Fernandes to "stop moaning" during the first half.
The second actually came at full-time, when Fernandes and Casemiro were engaged in a heated exchange despite having secured the three points already. The Brazilian could be seen wide-eyed and appeared agitated during the conversation with Fernandes before Harry Maguire eventually approached the pair of them.

The two run-ins will do very little to reinforce the idea that Fernandes will ever be captain material, despite the fact he has been wearing the armband in the absence of Maguire.
Just last month, United legend Paul Scholes admitted he feels Fernandes lacks the "calming influence" required of a Red Devil when the stakes are high.
"Your captain has to be a calming influence, really," Scholes explained. "He almost has to be the one who calms characters like him down. I worry about him [Fernandes] if Manchester United, in March or April time, are going for a league title.
"I don’t think having Bruno as your captain would be ideal. But we know he’s only the vice-captain at the minute, we know Harry Maguire's not playing.
"Going forward, bigger games, bigger parts of the season, going for trophies and big Champions League finals and stuff, I think a captain who’s less emotional might be better."
For all of Fernandes' flaws, he remains one of the most vital cogs to the machine Erik ten Hag is building as he aims to restore United back to their former glories.
If Fernandes can curb the on-pitch outbursts in the process, that will simply serve as a bonus to the Red Devils.
