Manchester United are 'ready' to sign Jordan Pickford in a move that could pave the way for Nottingham Forest to buy Dean Henderson.
United are preparing to make a £30million move for Everton goalkeeper Pickford, who could replace David De Gea amid uncertainty over the Spaniard's future at Old Trafford. His contract is expiring at the end of this month, though he holds an option to extend it by a further year. He has not yet taken that up.
Forest are all set to make their move for Henderson, who was on loan at the club last season, but United are waiting to resolve De Gea's future before they allow Henderson to leave permanently. A move for Pickford could be just the piece of the puzzle that Forest are looking for, opening the door for Henderson to make his move to Forest permanent.

Henderson kept six clean sheets in 18 Premier League appearances for Forest, before picking up a season-ending injury over the winter. That saw him replaced by another loanee, Keylor Navas, for the rest of the season. But that move did not lower Henderson in Steve Cooper's pecking order.
According to talkSPORT, Everton could be prepared to sell Pickford for £30million as they look to raise funds through the transfer market. The 29-year-old played all but one of the Toffee's Premier League games in 2022-23, conceding 56 goals and keeping eight clean sheets.
How much should Forest pay for Henderson? Let us know in the comments.
