Man Utd predicted XI vs Wolves as Erik ten Hag forced to deal with huge injury blow

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will be well aware that anything less than a win at home against Wolves on Saturday will spark fears over their top-four status.

The Red Devils have looked on course to secure Champions League qualification for next season and while they are still in the driving seat, fierce rivals Liverpool are now breathing down their necks. Liverpool men sit just one point behind United, but have played one game more.

A victory for Ten Hag's troops would be a huge step in the right direction and see United boast a four-point advantage over Liverpool until Klopp's side get the chance to respond when they make the trip to Leicester on Monday night.

In turn, it is expected that Ten Hag goes strong for the visit of Wolves and that means starting David de Gea in goal, regardless of his calamitous error that handed West Ham victory last Sunday.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has impressed for the majority of this season and won his place back off of Diogo Dalot, he is more than likely to line up at right-back as part of a United defence aiming to keep their 16th league clean sheet of the campaign.

Victor Lindelof will likely feature in all of United's remaining league fixtures this season given the absence of Lisandro Martinez. The Swede will partner Raphael Varane as the duo go up against the lowest scoring side in the league this term.

Varane's return from injury means Luke Shaw can revert to his usual role at left-back, ending the England international's spell at the heart of the United defence while the former Real Madrid ace was sidelined.

Casemiro and Christian Eriksen will line up at the base of United's midfield, with the pair both more than capable of pulling the strings and dictating the tempo the Red Devils play at against a mid-table outfit.

Bruno Fernandes is likely to be tasked with being United's main creative outlet and will aim to do a better job than the reverse fixture, when it took a late goal from Marcus Rashford to secure all three points at the Molineux.

The goal-scorer from that New Year's Eve clash is ruled out of action this time around and as a result Anthony Martial will lead the line, despite not scoring a Premier League goal since December 27.

Martial is expected to be flanked either side by Jadon Sancho on the left and marquee summer signing Antony on the right.

Predicted Man Utd XI against Wolves (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Varane, Shaw; Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes; Antony, Martial, Sancho
