Marcus Rashford is expected to return to the Manchester United starting XI when the Red Devils face Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.
The 25-year-old was dropped for United's trip to Wolves after he overslept and was late for a team meeting. But Rashford came on at half-time and scored the winner as the Red Devils secured their fifth successive win in all competitions to take them into the Champions League places.
It was a dogged performance from the Red Devils, who leapfrogged Tottenham with a 1-0 win and will be keen to keep hold of a top four place heading into the second-half of the season. Erik ten Hag has a number of key decisions to make, however, as he deliberates over his starting side to take on Bournemouth.
In goal, David de Gea will keep his place barring any late injury or illness with the Spaniard in fine form for the Red Devils at the moment. The 32-year-old has kept back-to-back clean sheets in the Premier League, and after Martin Dubravka returned to Newcastle from his loan spell, De Gea is certain to start in goal.
Meanwhile, it is a much tougher decision for Ten Hag at the back, with Lisandro Martinez potentially available again following his World Cup exploits. Ten Hag was optimistic that Martinez will return to the squad for the visit of Bournemouth, but Luke Shaw could also keep his place in the centre of defence after impressing against Wolves.
Raphael Varane returned for the clash at Molineux and is set to keep his place alongside Shaw at centre-back, with Tyrell Malacia on the left side and Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back. Diogo Dalot is making "good" progress after recovering from injury but may not be risked after Ten Hag spoke about the defender on Saturday.
He said: "Diogo Dalot as well, he also makes good progress. But we don’t want to take risks with anyone because there are many games to come and we need a good squad to cover all the games."
The midfield trio is arguably the easiest place to predict with Casemiro in the form of his United career to date and Christian Eriksen a mainstay in the XI since his move in the summer. They would make up the deeper central pairing with Bruno Fernandes just ahead of them in the No.10 role following his assist in the win over Wolves.
Out wide, there is expected be one change with Rashford coming back into the side after serving his punishment due to lateness. Alejandro Garnacho is set to drop out, leaving space for Rashford to slot back in on the left with Antony on the other side. The Brazilian hasn't scored in the Premier League since the win over Everton but is a firm favourite of Ten Hag's and is likely to start in his right-wing berth.
Having been taken off in the 81st minute at Wolves, Anthony Martial is expected to start up front given he is the only recognised senior striker in the United squad at the moment. The Red Devils are chasing a move for Marcus Thuram and other forward targets in the January window.
Predicted United starting XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Shaw, Malacia; Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial
