Manchester United's hopes of a cup treble came to an end on Thursday, but there is no time for manager Erik ten Hag to rest on his laurels.
United were beaten 3-0 by Sevilla to crash out of the Europa League, losing 5-2 on aggregate to Jose Luis Mendilibar's side. Individual errors played a part, with Harry Maguire and David de Gea to blame, after two late own goals in the first leg had given the Spanish side hope.
Ten Hag's men will have top pick themselves back up immediately, though, with an FA Cup semi-final against Brighton on Sunday. Ten Hag to axe 12
Erik ten Hag could offload as many as 12 Manchester United players as the manager prepares a summer overhaul. Harry Maguire and David de Gea are among the senior stars in the firing line after their errors against Sevilla, but they're not the only ones.
United's manager made a number of summer signings in his first window in charge, but a number of those he inherited could be surplus to requirements. Others touted for an exit include Anthony Martial, Scott McTominay and Fred.

The Red Devils are expected to add to their squad in the summer, with a new striker the priority. They may streamline the squad first, though, with a number of fringe players set to leave while loanees including Wout Weghorst return to their parent clubs.
Hannibal proving Neville right
Man Utd midfielder Hannibal was allowed to leave on loan this season, but the youngster has impressed those watching from afar. The Tunisian international has spent the campaign with Birmingham City, playing regularly for the Blues, and his displays there have won him more fans in Birmingham and Manchester.
His displays have brought to mind comments from Gary Neville last season. Neville praised the youngster after a passionate if aggressive challenge on Liverpool's Naby Keita, though he admitted the comments may have strayed into unprofessionalism.
“It takes a young kid to come on and show the rest of them how to sprint for the ball and put a challenge in,” Neville said in United's 4-0 loss at Liverpool last season. “I'm actually proud of him! Maybe he doesn't like the idea of Liverpool players passing it round him. I wish the rest of them were the same.”
Fallout from De Gea claim
Erik ten Hag was quickly forced to eat his words over David de Gea. The goalkeeper was at fault for Sevilla's third goal on Thursday, failing to deal with a long ball, prompting some to revisit earlier comments from United's manager about the "multi-functional" Spaniard.
"Stopping goals, avoiding goals as that is the main job for a goalkeeper," Ten Hag said earlier in the week. "You can do it in many more ways, everyone has their own particular style and nowadays in possession, it becomes more and more important, especially at the top level because there you take control and it is more difficult for the opponent to gain pressure, you also concede less chances.
"But at the end of the day it’s about stopping goals, stopping shots, stopping crosses, one-on-ones etc so that is more like the classic goalkeeper. I think David is really multi-functional and a really complete goalkeeper. We are very happy with him.”
