Ten Hag 'mystified'
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has been impressed by a handful of the club's current crop of youngsters.
The Dutchman has led training sessions with his new squad after players who didn't take part in international fixtures during the summer returning for pre-season last week. Zidane Iqbal, Hannibal Mejbri and Alejandro Garnacho have reportedly caught Ten Hag's eye and may be in his plans going forward.
Ten Hag is said to have been particularly impressed with Iqbal and it appears he may be prepared to offer him a chance this season.
Players react to Ronaldo transfer request
Some Manchester United players would reportedly 'welcome' Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the club.
The Portuguese forward has told United that he would like to leave in order to play Champions League football next season. The bombshell news has rocked United, although it appears some players would be fine with seeing the superstar forward depart the club.
And it is claimed that some stars at Old Trafford feel they would be able to 'express' themselves more should Ronaldo leave.
Martinez issues new transfer plea
Lisandro Martinez has begged Ajax to let him fulfil his dream of securing a summer transfer to the Premier League.
Martinez has spoken with the Dutch club twice in the past week, requesting permission to go on both occasions. Manchester United and Arsenal are engaged in a bidding war for his services with the Red Devils putting in a £40 million offer for him over the weekend.
Ajax value Martinez at £45million but it appears that a reunion with former boss Erik ten Hag may be inching ever closer.
