Erik ten Hag has identified a summer acquisition he wants Manchester United to bring in – and interim boss Ralf Rangnick reportedly agrees with him.
The Dutchman is set to start his summer revolution at Old Trafford when he joins the club at the end of the season and a huge overhaul is expected. But it's not just the playing squad that Ten Hag wants to make changes to, with Rangnick agreeing with the incoming boss that Paul Mitchell should be appointed as technical director or head of recruitment.
It comes as Amad has hit a rough patch during his loan move at Rangers. And Ed Woodward's last transfer deal at Old Trafford could become Erik ten Hag's main man.

And that could help reshape United's midfield in a way that could really suit Van de Beek.
Amad hits new low
Manchester United youngster Amad has hit a tough patch during his loan spell at Rangers.
The winger, who was dubbed a 'top player' by former United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when he arrived at the club, was expected to gain more experience in Scotland to aid his development before returning to the club ready to challenge for a place in the first-team. But after a strong start Amad is now barely featuring for the side.
He was handed a rare start against Motherwell – but after teammate Connor Goldson was red-carded in the 29th minute he was the player to be sacrificed as his time in Scotland hit a new low.

Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and interim boss Ralf Rangnick are said to be at 'loggerheads' with club chiefs as they push for the appointment of Paul Mitchell should as technical director or head of recruitment.
Mitchell has headed up the recruitment departments at MK Dons, Southampton, Tottenham, RB Leipzig and Monaco, discovering the likes of Dele Alli, Christopher Nkunku, Kieran Trippier and Son Heung-Min. But he is said to be 'open to leaving' Monaco this summer – but 'other deciders' at Old Trafford are reportedly 'against' bringing him in to the club.
