Manchester United will be hoping to bounce back from their gut-wrenching defeat to Brighton when they face West Ham on Sunday night.

The Red Devils slipped back in the race to the top four, though are likely to claim a Champions League place. Boss Erik ten Hag's attention is turning to the transfer window, but he has been handed a major blow as he draws up his plans.

The blow comes as Ten Hag draws up his shortlist for a striker and the Dutchman warned Antony about controlling his emotions. Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest Manchester United news.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has been dealt a huge blow to his summer transfer plans. The Dutchman is priotising signing a striker in the upcoming window, with Wout Weghorst set to return to Burnley.

One of the men on his shopping list for the position is Victor Osimhen, who has fired Napoli to the Serie A title this season. It is the club's first Scudetto since 1990, with Osimhen's form attracting interest from a range of clubs, including United.

Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani is also on it amid his impressive season, alongside Atalanta's Rasmus Hojlund. The final two names are World Cup hero Goncalo Ramos and Ajax star Mohammed Kudus.

Antony sent warning

Antony has been warmed to keep his emotions in check after confronting Lewis Dunk during United's defeat to Brighton. Boss Ten Hag has urged the Brazilian to cool down after termperatures boiled over at the Amex Stadium.

"Passion is a strength. Of course, until a certain level you have to control it. You need passion and desire to win your battles in the game," Ten Hag said ahead of Sunday's clash with West Ham.

"It is very strong with him and he is very ambitious. Don't go over the top: stay focused on your game and what the game needs. If he does that, he is a great player. I think his improvement is quite obvious and clear."
