Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been told he may find more "purpose in life" by moving to MLS side Inter Miami.
The Portuguese superstar returned to Old Trafford last summer but his homecoming has not quite gone to plan with United struggling for consistency on the pitch. That has led to reports that Ronaldo could seek a move away from the club this summer, and BBC pundit Garth Crooks believes a move stateside could be on the cards.
It comes amid fresh reports of turmoil behind-the-scenes at Old Trafford with claims that Ralf Rangnick's decision to name Marcus Rashford on the bench against Leicester City left certain players "baffled". And Ralf Rangnick has warned Manchester United chiefs they may need up to three transfer windows to fix the issues within the club's playing squad.

Rangnick sends warning
Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has outlined his four-point plan to help the club return to the top of English football.
The German is expected to take up a consultancy role with the club this summer when a new permanent manager is set to be appointed. And it appears Rangnick already has a plan for taking the club forward – but has warned it could take up to three transfer windows to catch up with their Premier League rivals.
Rangnick also reportedly wants United to sign players that fit their new manager’s philosophy as well as bringing in aggressive and physical footballers.
Dressing room 'baffled'
Members of Manchester United's squad were reportedly left "baffled" by Ralf Rangnick's decision to leave Marcus Rashford out of his starting line-up against Leicester City.
With Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani out injured, Bruno Fernandes was deployed as a striker but United needed Fred to rescue a draw after Kelechi Iheanacho put the visitors ahead. And reports have suggested members of the squad were left 'baffled' by Rashford's omission in fresh reports of discontent in the United dressing room.
The decision to leave Rashford out also drew criticism from club legend Gary Neville who claimed it would have "killed" the forward.
Cristiano Ronaldo sent MLS message
Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been told to leave the club and form a "formidable partnership" with David Beckham at Inter Miami.
Ronaldo signed a two-year deal at Old Trafford when he returned to the club last summer, but amid the side's struggles on the pitch this season there have been reports that he could cut his time at Old Trafford short. And BBC Sport pundit Garth Crooks has told the forward a move to America's MLS could help him find more "purpose".
