Manchester United can put themselves back in pole position to claim a top four spot with a win over Wolves on Saturday afternoon.
Captain Bruno Fernandes has insisted that the Red Devils can recover from their difficult recent form to get their top four challenge back on track. And he believes that if they do finish in the Champions League places, it would be somewhat of a shock.
Fernandes' comments come as Newcastle boss Eddie Howe insisted he is not worried by Erik ten Hag's men and the Red Devils were given a way of securing the signing of Declan Rice. Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest Manchester United news.
Fernandes makes top four vow
Bruno Fernandes has insisted that Manchester United deserve to finish in the top four of the Premier League. The midfielder believes that the Red Devils have delivered beyond expectation to be fighting for a Champions League qualification place.
“This club has to be in that position. And I think these players deserve to be there too. The team has done a great job this season when no one thought United could be fighting for the top four," he said.
"At the beginning of the season no one put our team in the top six. We knew we could be even higher. And soon this club will be fighting for even bigger things. Our club, we want to play as many games as possible, to be in a position to win trophies and reach finals."

Howe sends defiant warning
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has insisted that his side are not daunted by the challenge of Manchester United for a place in the top four. The Magpies currently sit third and Howe is confident his side can stay ahead of the Red Devils.
“I think in sport the last bit is always the most difficult thing. That is why it is important that I alleviate the pressure from the players and we have tried to do that in training this week," he said.
“The air should be lighter, not heavier. I don’t feel we are daunted by it. They have trained and feel good and seem to be in a good headspace. We are thinking about what we can achieve, not any consequences.

Pathway to Rice transfer found
Manchester United have been handed a pathway to securing the signing of Declan Rice this summer. Arsenal appear to be in pole position to buy the West Ham star, but former Liverpool attacker Stan Collymore believes United may have a trick up their sleeves.
"He’s obviously in demand and is likely to be at the centre of a summer battle but I actually think going to Manchester United would be the best move for Declan Rice," Collymore told Caught Offside
"Although the Red Devils probably wouldn’t want to splash £120m on one midfielder, I can definitely see a situation where they offer some money and a player. I think including Scott McTominay in an offer would be quite appealing to West Ham."
