Despite the scent of turmoil lingering around Old Trafford, going into the final six matches of the Premier League season there is still plenty for Manchester United to play for.
Saturday's win over Norwich City, coupled with surprise defeats for Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, thrust the Red Devils back into contention for a top-four spot. And while supporters will obviously be keen to see the team challenging for major honours in the future, the summer rebuild can get off to an easier start with Champions League football to offer to possible new recruits.
Nevertheless, United face arguably the most difficult assignment in the game in their next outing - a trip to quadruple-chasing Liverpool on Tuesday.
Mirror Sport has all the latest Red Devils news ahead of that vital encounter on Merseyside.
Rangnick offers Fernandes update
United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that Bruno Fernandes will feature at Anfield despite being involved in a car crash on Monday.
The Portuguese had a smash on the way to training at Carrington, although there were no serious injuries as a result of the injury. Speaking at his press conference on the eve of the game, Rangnick said Fernandes "was ok and he'll be ok for tomorrow."
The coach had worse news on a number of other key players though, with Fred, Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay, Luke Shaw and Edinson Cavani all set to miss the Liverpool game.

Ten Hag assessed rumoured target
Erik ten Hag is expected to leave Ajax to take over at United this summer and he may be plotting possible transfer targets already.
One of those to be linked with the Red Devils in recent weeks is PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo, who came up against Ten Hag and the Amsterdam giants on Sunday in the KNVB Cup final.
The young winger scored what eventually proved to be the winning goal for PSV, as they ran out 2-1 winners over Ajax. And afterwards, Ten Hag name-checked Gakpo as a player his team should have been more wary of.
"You have to defend much better, you can never let Gakpo come in, that’s where his qualities lie," he said after the game. "There are two people standing by, you have to keep him on the left."

Potential Maguire blow
United manager-in-waiting Ten Hag will reportedly consider axing Harry Maguire next season, as the Ajax boss plans widespread changes at Old Trafford.
The centre-back was brought to United for a whopping £80 million - a world-record fee for a defender - and while he was anointed captain by former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he has struggled for consistency.
This season has arguably been Maguire's worst as a United player and it has been suggested that Ten Hag is ready to select a different skipper next season, leaving the England international's position in the first team going forward in doubt.
