Manchester United 's away kit for the 2022-23 season has been spotted on sale in Australia - where the Red Devils are for their pre-season tour.
A white shirt decked with a black and red trim - reminiscent of United's away kit worn during their treble-winning campaign in 1999 - was seen in a store down under, less than a week after fans got their first look at the retro-inspired home kit. All three of the Red Devils' 22-23 strips previously leaked online and were modelled by Cristiano Ronaldo before his bombshell transfer request. UK supporters still officially don't know when they'll be able to get their hands on Adidas ' effort for away days - but Aussies already can.
Rumoured to be launched in Federation Square, Melbourne on Saturday, the kit - posted the United fanbase's Reddit page - boasts a simple design that's sure to hark back to the glory days of Sir Alex Ferguson 's era. Now new manager Erik ten Hag is tasked with bringing back the good times to Old Trafford, having begun his reign with a whopping 4-0 win against old foes Liverpool in Bangkok.
Flying down to Australia shortly after the victory, the Red Devils will face Melbourne Victory in a friendly on Friday, who ex-United winger Nani has just signed for. With excitement building on the pitch, Old Trafford chiefs also hope to be able to complete deals for new signings Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez in time for them to link up with their new teammates in Australia.
While Eriksen's free transfer from Brentford is hinging on a complex medical, having suffered a near-fatal cardiac arrest last June during a match for Denmark at Euro 2020, the Red Devils are set to shell out £46.5million on Martinez. The Ajax and Argentina defender was left out of his club's training session on Thursday, with United officials in Amsterdam thrashing out a deal.
Meanwhile, back on tour, Ten Hag and co are busy limbering up for their new Premier League season, which begins on Sunday, August 7 at home to Brighton & Hove Albion. The Dutch boss is already pleased with his squad's progress, having replaced interim manager Ralf Rangnick in May and being handed a tough challenge to restore the 20-time English champions' greatness.

"We are satisfied today because I think there was a team with great spirit," Ten Hag told MUTV after the Red Devils swatted aside Liverpool. "We know we are just starting and when things begin to click like the press... we know we made some mistakes in pressing and conceded some chances but also we created a lot and I think our team played bravely, they were proactive and we had to work really hard to get out of some mistakes.
"Of course, we are happy with the first game. It was not only the result. I know we have good players but we have to play as a team. We started the first game well so I am happy. Of course it will take time, believe me I have seen a lot of mistakes but I will not say [what they were]. But to be honest, Liverpool played with three teams and they were not at their strongest, so we are not overestimating them. We saw some really good things. What you see is we have a lot of creativity and speed in the front and we have potential."
On Friday's friendly, which kicks-off at 11:05 BST, the ex-Ajax boss added: "We are happy with this game because it is different opposition. It is always good to play against different opposition, with different culture and it will be a different approach. From Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa [taking place next week], we know what we can expect.
"From Melbourne Victory, it will be different. I think they play in a good level and they are second in the league last year so they will have a strong squad and also I think the coach is familiar with top football. So we are looking forward to this game, it's going to be a good test."
