Frustration over the prolonged takeover saga at Manchester United will come to a head on Tuesday with the fanbase planning a fresh protest against the Glazer family.
Back on November 22, the American owners announced they were planning to sell the club, with a number of investors promptly announcing their intentions to take over. The list of candidates has seemingly been whittled down to two now, with Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe the clear front runners.
But despite initially vowing to make a decision by the end of May, there is still no sign of an imminent announcement. To compound the frustration, United manager Erik ten Hag is struggling to land his top transfer targets, having had three bids for Mason Mount rejected, whilst a much touted £100 million move for Harry Kane is yet to materialise.
Time is running out to get a new squad assembled before pre-season preparations begin. Ten Hag has already stated his intention to have players back at Carrington as early as July 3, with his team's first summer clash against Leeds in Oslo coming just nine days later.
And now United supporters are planning to use a club event to voice their anger against the Glazer family, with much of the fanbase desperate to see them cut ties with the club. According to the Daily Mail, fan group The 1958 will gather outside the club's megastore to make their feelings known.
The timing of their action is anything but coincidental. Tuesday morning will see the official launch of United’s new adidas kits, which will be worn by the club in the 2023/24 campaign. It means a large number of visitors can be guaranteed to witness the scenes.

Fans are expected to start forming queues from early on in the morning to get their hands on the new gear. But officials will now be braced for discontent with a number of banners, as well as the now customary yellow and green scarves, expected to be on show.
There is also a large section of United fans and former players irate at the proposal of Ratcliffe, that if accepted, will see Avram and Joel Glazer remain in Manchester as club stakeholders, albeit with their control severely reduced.
Sheikh Jassim meanwhile, wants 100 percent of control to the club. His bid is also closer to the extortionate £6billion valuation that was initially quoted by the current owners.
