Manchester United fans are sure that Mason Mount is finally on his way to Old Trafford after Alejandro Garnacho's social media activity.
The Red Devils have made the Chelsea midfielder one of their prime targets for the summer transfer window. He has just a year remaining on his contract with the Blues, something that United are aiming to take advantage of with a swoop.
They are finding it tough to convince Chelsea to sell though. United have lodged three separate bids for the midfielder, all of which have been turned down by the London side. After the most recent offer, Chelsea countered and requested £58m plus £7m in add-ons to sell Mount. It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils match their demands in an effort to get a deal over the line.
However, United supporters are utterly convinced that Mount is on his way to Old Trafford due to a hint dropped by Argentine forward Garnacho. The 18-year-old follows the England midfielder on Instagram.
One supporter took to Twitter with the news as he shared a screenshot of Garnacho’s profile following Mount, with the caption: “Garnacho has followed Mount on Instagram....it's happening friends.”
Meanwhile, another also had the same idea as they wrote: “We are finally signing someone.”

Whilst United fans are delighted with a potential deal for Mount potentially edging towards completion, the same cannot quite be said of the Red Devils right now. According to the Manchester Evening News, the club have been left unhappy with Chelsea during the negotiations.
It is suggested that John Murtough, United’s director of football, is disappointed with Chelsea’s strategy of communicating the Red Devils’ bids through the club’s dedicated correspondents in London. Meanwhile, there is also more frustration regarding the deal.
Former Chelsea academy coach Paul Clement has slammed a potential switch to Old Trafford. He said: “My view is that, having worked in the academy at Chelsea for a long time, it would be a real shame if he [Mount] leaves.
“I always believe that if you’ve got a young talent and he’s come through the ranks you have to do everything to keep him.”
Should a deal be pushed through in the immediate future - as suggested by United fans - Mount would be joining the Red Devils fresh off the back of a tricky season at Stamford Bridge. The 24-year-old scored just three times and notched two assists in the Premier League last season as the Blues slumped to 12th following a rotten campaign.
Elsewhere, United are also attempting to seal a deal for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana as a replacement for David de Gea, who is yet to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.
