Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign Arsenal transfer target Alexander Isak following reports linking Erling Haaland to Manchester City.
The Gunners were heavily linked with a move for Isak during the January window but didn't end up bringing in any major signings despite allowing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join La Liga giants Barcelona.
And the Swedish international has previously refused to talk about a move away from the Reale Arena, telling Mundo Deportivo back in February: "I am not talking about other clubs.
"I am a Real player, I work here and this is my club. My work is on the pitch, and as I told you before, there are other people who work outside."
However, the 22-year-old didn't rule out a future move away from Imanol Alguacil's side, admitting that you can never be sure of anything in football.
He continued: "You can never be sure of anything. As I always say, you never know what can happen in football but in the end I'm here, happy, and nothing more."
Now, The Daily Star have claimed that United have entered the race to sign Isak following reports linking Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland to their arch-rivals and reigning Premier League champions City.
Isak is said to have a £75milliom release clause in his current contract at Sociedad and former Arsenal frontman Jeremie Aliadiere has urged his old side to pursue a deal for the young forward.
"For me Alexander Isak seems like a really good buy. I like his style," Aliadiere told BonusCodeBets.
"I think we need somebody that runs behind the defender, makes runs behind. Arsenal have always been that kind of club that has a striker that makes runs behind, stretch the opposition."
He added: "A striker who makes runs, who stretches the defence, that is what we need and I think Isak offers that. He does that.
"He’s still very young, got a lot of energy and I think in that team with a manager like Arteta, who’s still very young, you would not want very, very experienced players that might have a bit of an ego.
"I think getting younger players that are still proven, still very good players, I think that’s the way forward for the club."
