Nottingham Forest appear to have been handed further encouragement in their hopes of securing a permanent deal for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
The goalkeeper impressed during his loan spell at the City Ground last season having made vital saves for the Reds earlier in the campaign before picking up a season-ending injury in January.
It is his performances in the first few months of the 2022/23 season which have led the club to try and sign him this summer, as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping department with Wayne Hennessey currently the Reds' only senior shot-stopper.
And the MEN claim that his relationship with the Red Devils and manager Erik ten Hag is difficult after "an uneasy couple of years with his parent club." It is also claimed "there is next to no indication he is under consideration for a promotion to No.1," which would surely signal an end to his time at Old Trafford.

Signing Henderson would be a coup for Forest who will be looking to build on a strong finish to last season when they begin their second successive campaign in the Premier League on August 12 away at Arsenal.
His impact in the dressing room also appears to have been positive, with Reds boss Steve Cooper previously speaking about how he enjoyed working with him. “We’ve all enjoyed working with Dean, the personality that he is,” he said shortly after his injury.
“He’s a good professional; really cares. He has a fantastic mentality towards winning and we’re grateful for what he has given us.”
