Manchester United and Newcastle are among a host of Premier League clubs looking at Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga.
The 20-year-old’s contract with the LaLiga outfit runs until 2026 but talks between his agent, Pini Zahavi, and the club over an extension which contains a bigger buyout clause have taken place. Currently, that clause stands at around £35million but Celta want to double it.
Zahavi is understood to be in contact with several Premier League clubs about the player, with United having watched him four times since January and Newcastle scouts keeping tabs on him last week. There is also interest in the Spain Under-21 international from teams in Germany’s Bundesliga. Celta sources say there have been no official bids for the player but the club is aware of the interest in him.
Sheffield United's Iliman Ndiaye wanted by Premier League clubs including Everton
Everton are one of several Premier League clubs looking at Sheffield United striker Iliman Ndiaye.
The 23-year-old has played a major role in the Blades’ push for promotion back to the Premier League. He came into the weekend with 11 goals in the Championship and was the goalscoring hero as his side knocked Tottenham out of the FA Cup.
Ndiaye had also chipped in with eight assists prior to yesterday’s clash with Luton and the fact he can operate as a central striker, out wide or as an attacking midfielder, appeals to the top-flight sides.
Newcastle and West Ham are also understood to be keeping tabs on Ndiaye, who has been watched regularly by Premier League teams this season.
The Senegal international, who played against England at the World Cup, will enter the final year of his contract at Bramall Lane in the summer. And if the South Yorkshire side don’t go up then his club face an even bigger battle to hang on to him.
Atletico Madrid want Norwich's Gabriel Sara
Norwich midfielder Gabriel Sara has emerged as a target for Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
The 23-year-old Brazilian has impressed at Carrow Road this season and especially in recent weeks as the Canaries have mounted a late promotion push. Norwich spent a club-record £11.5million to sign Sara from Sao Paulo in his homeland and it is proving money well spent.
West Ham are also on the lookout for a midfielder as they prepare for life without Declan Rice, who will be targeted by almost all of the top sides in the Premier League this summer. The Hammers are understood to have watched Sara in recent weeks, as have Atletico and German side RB Leipzig.
Norwich will not want to lose Sara so soon after signing him and if their promotion push is successful then they will hope to keep hold of him. If they miss out, however, they could face a battle to convince him to stay.
