Chelsea are set to face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool in the race to sign Youssoufa Moukoko from Borussia Dortmund. The Blues are said to be keen on signing a new striker in January after Armando Broja's knee injury.
Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were signed in the summer transfer window but both have struggled for form in front of goal. Broja is determined to return stronger than before but has revealed he is devastated to have ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament as he is now set to miss the remainder of the season.
Moukoko's contract at Dortmund is set to expire at the end of the season with the Blues thought to be one of three Premier League clubs interested in signing the young German striker. The 18-year-old has scored six goals and provided a further six assists in 22 appearances so far.

When asked about his future with the Bundesliga club earlier this year, Moukoko replied: "I feel very comfortable in Dortmund, I feel the confidence of the coach. You'll find out in the end whether I decide to stay or not."
The Athletic reported that Chelsea are exploring the possibility of bringing the Dortmund talent to Stamford Bridge as Todd Boehly continues to plan for the January transfer window. The Blues have focused more on signing young talents since Boehly's arrival with Potter having a brilliant track record of developing players with huge potentials into regular first team players.
The Times are now reporting that Chelsea’s Premier League rivals United and Liverpool are both firmly in the race to sign Moukoko, but the player remains intent on staying with Dortmund to continue his development. Erik ten Hag is hoping to sign a new forward to replace Cristiano Ronaldo in his squad after the five-time Ballon d'Or winner mutually agreed to terminate his contract at Old Trafford.
Liverpool are set to be without Luis Diaz until March after the Colombian winger suffered a set back in his recovery from injury. According to the Ruhr Nachrichten, Moukoko is close to an 'agreement in principle' with Dortmund over a contract extension as the German weighs up his options and decides what is best for his career.
