Everton will reportedly sell either Richarlison or Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer to ease their financial woes, putting Manchester United and Arsenal on red alert.
United are believed to be considering a move for Richarlison. The 24-year-old has scored 47 goals for the Toffees since they paid Premier League rivals Watford an initial £35m for his services in the summer of 2018.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have been linked with Calvert-Lewin for some time. The 25-year-old has endured an injury-hit season, playing just 11 games in all competitions. Yet he was prolific last term, scoring 21 Premier League goals and remains in contention for a World Cup place with England.
According to The Sun, Everton's latest financial figures show they lost £121m last season and the club's hierarchy are planning on selling one of their most valuable assets to balance the books. The Toffees have lost almost £373m during the past three years.
Richarlison is highly regarded in his native Brazil, winning 34 caps. He was part of their squad for last summer's Olympics in Tokyo - winning gold - and helped them lift the Copa America in 2019. The forward is expected to feature in the World Cup later this year.
United are planning on rebuilding their ageing squad this summer, with interim boss Rangnick overseeing the operation in a consultancy role. Several players are expected to leave Old Trafford, such as out-of-contract pair Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard.

Arsenal have enjoyed a revival under Mikel Arteta this season. They're currently fourth in the Premier League - three points clear of Tottenham in fifth - yet they must build on their progress if they want to challenge the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.
The Gunners' biggest problem is a lack of goals. Their leading scorers are Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe - who've found the net 10 times each in all competitions - while main striker Alexandre Lacazette has scored just six goals in all competitions.

Since billionaire Farhad Moshiri bought a 49.9 per cent share in Everton in February 2016, they've spent more than £500m on transfers - most of which have proved unsuccessful.
Cenk Tosun has scored only 11 goals since his £27.5m move from Besiktas in January 2018, Theo Walcott cost £20m from Arsenal in the same month but was given a free transfer last summer and Alex Iwobi - another signing from the Gunners - has found the back of the net just seven times in all competitions since his £28m move in August 2019.
