Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia is reportedly being considered by Celtic in case they fail to sign Kieran Tierney before Monday's transfer deadline.
Brendan Rodgers has already confirmed that the Scottish Premiership champions have secured the services of the 27-year-old on a pre-contract from the summer.
However, the Hoops do remain hopeful of being able to strike a deal with Arsenal to sign Tierney before Monday night, especially with Alex Valle's loan from Barcelona terminated.
That said, a lot depends on the domino effect other team's transfers could have - as is usually the case at the end of a window.
Arsenal may offload Oleksandr Zinchenko to Atletico Madrid, which may see Mikel Arteta want to hold onto Tierney until the summer.
And so, the Daily Mail reports that Celtic could turn to Malacia as an alternative option, with Greg Taylor now the only recognised first-team player at left-back.

The report states that the Dutchman, 25, is on Celtic's watchlist.
United are close to sealing a deal for Lecce's Patrick Dorgu, so are happy to allow Malacia to depart.
Should Celtic wish to pursue a deal for Malacia, then they could face competition from Real Betis, who are also interested.
Malacia has only recently returned to the first-team fold at Old Trafford after spending 18 months out of action with a knee injury.
