Man United youngster Charlie Savage added to FIFA 22 for first time in latest update

Promising youngster Charlie Savage has been added to the Manchester United squad on FIFA 22 in the latest update, after making his first-team debut earlier this season.

It may have only been for one minute, but Savage was brought on in Man United 's 1-1 draw against Young Boys in their UEFA Champions League clash in December.

And following that appearance, the Welshman has been added to the Reds' FIFA 22 squad.

Son of former United academy player and Welsh international Robbie Savage, the 18-year-old has predominantly featured for United's U23's this season in the Premier League 2 as well as United's U19's in the UEFA Youth League.

The latest FIFA 22 squad update was released on January 27, 2022, and is now available to download on all platforms including PC, Xbox and PlayStation, featuring a host of upgrades and downgrades in the United squad.

So, what does Charlie Savage's FIFA 22 stats look like? Let's take a look.

Charlie Savage in FIFA 22

Overall rating: 60/99

Overall Potential : 78/99

Positions: CDM, CM

Weak Foot: Three-Star

Skill Moves: Two-Star

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Due to his age and vast inexperience, Savage is rated just 60 overall out of 99, making him the joint-lowest rated player at the club in FIFA 22, alongside fellow youth midfielder Zidane Iqbal (60).

Despite currently being just 60 overall, the 18-year-old has a decent potential rating of 78 out of 99, which would make the Welsh midfielder higher rated than current first-team players Juan Mata (77), Diogo Dalot (77) and Anthony Elanga (68), and the same rating as Eric Bailly (78) if he was to hit his potential.

Savage's potential is also the same as the potential rating of Björn Hardley, with the Dutch defender also added into the game with the latest update.

Hardley is rated 63 out of 99 with a potential rating of 78, making him the fourth lowest-rated player in the United squad ahead of Iqbal, Savage and Shola Shoretire.

When comparing Savage's potential to the potential of Shoretire (84), Hannibal Mejbri (84), Elanga (84) and Amad Diallo (85), the Welshman's potential is low, but due to his lack of first-team experience and just being 18-years-old, it's difficult to accurately judge his real potential.

Being just 60 rated, the forward currently has very low-rated stats, with his vision (65), long passing (65), short passing (65), curve (64) and composure (63) his highest-rated individual attributes, showcasing that passing is his strongest attribute.
