Almost a month after scoring the winning goal in Manchester United's FA Youth Cup victory, young forward Alejandro Garnacho has been added to an EA Sports FIFA title for the first time.
The Argentine-Spanish forward scored twice in United's 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest Under-18s on May 11, at a packed Old Trafford, in what was the club's first FA Youth Cup win since 2011. Garnacho, who is also U nited's U18s Player of the Year, made his senior debut for the club against Chelsea in April and is being tipped for a big future.
Garnacho was also called up to the senior Argentina national team earlier this season and has the enviable position of having linked up with both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in senior squads. Following his superb 2021/22 campaign, Garnacho has now been added to an EA Sports FIFA title for the first time, with the youngster now playable on FIFA 22.
Here's how Garnacho rates on FIFA 22, including his rating, potential, best attributes and more.
Alejandro Garnacho added to FIFA 22
Overall rating: 63/99
Potential rating: 84/99
Best attributes: Balance (86), Agility (84), Acceleration (83), Sprint Speed (81)
Weak foot rating: Four-Stars
Skill moves rating: Three-Stars
Garnacho has been awarded a 63 overall rating on FIFA 22, in what is his first-ever appearance on an EA Sports FIFA title. Considering Garnacho's young age, his rating is pretty impressive, particularly considering that it's higher than the likes of Shola Shoretire (62), Charlie McNeill (62) and Alvaro Fernandez (62).
In fact, Garnacho's overall rating is only slightly lower than Hannibal's (64), despite being around a year younger. The Argentine-Spanish forward's best attributes are unsurprisingly all in the movement category, with the youngster having impressive Balance (86), Agility (84), Acceleration (83) and Sprint Speed (81).
But the most impressive aspect of Garnacho's FIFA 22 profile is his potential rating, which stands at 84 out of 99. To put this into context, that value means that Garnacho can exceed the ability of players like Edinson Cavani (82) and Marcus Rashford (82), and can get close to the likes of Jadon Sancho (85) and Paul Pogba (86).
When compared to some of the top players in the world, Garnacho can become as good as the likes of Kai Havertz, Dusan Tadic, Federico Chiesa, Dries Mertens, Phil Foden, Iago Aspas, Vinicius Junior, Pedri and Eden Hazard on FIFA 22. The youngster also has a strong weak foot rating (four-star) and a moderate skill moves rating (three-star).
EA Sports seem to agree that Garnacho is a big talent, judging by how strong his first FIFA 22 profile is, and his ability and attributes will surely only grow further should he play more first-team games for the club next season.
