Man United XI vs West Ham: Ronaldo starts - Confirmed team news, starting lineup, Covid and injury latest

Ralf Rangnick has decided not to shake up his Manchester United lineup after a midweek victory over Brentford in which they were hardly convincing as his side take on West Ham this afternoon.

Clearly, there’s still a long way to go but United can at least take heart that their attacking players can interlink to devastating effect while live safe in the knowledge David De Gea is in the best form he’s been in for years.

United have confirmed Aaron Wan-Bissaka misses the game through illness (though refused to confirm he was suffering from Covid-19) and that Scott McTominay is fit for the game despite coming off injured on Wednesday.

Paul Pogba is back in training but, given how long he’s been out of action, he’s not yet ready.

Victor Lindelof will miss the game to spend time with his family after a break-in at his house. Jadon Sancho, meanwhile, misses out due to personal reasons.

Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, starts despite injuring his neck away at Brentford.

Manchester United predicted XI: De Gea, Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Telles, McTominay, Fred, Elanga, Greenwood, Ronaldo, Fernandes

Injured: Paul Pogba (thigh), Aaron Wan-Bissaka (illness)

Highlights: Match of the Day, BBC One at 10.30pm on Saturday

Referee: Jonathan Moss
