Man United XI vs Fulham: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, Ronaldo injury latest for Premier League today

Cristiano Ronaldo is missing for Manchester United’s game at Fulham, with Anthony Martial starting up front.

Ronaldo was absent from Thursday’s 4-2 Carabao Cup win over Aston Villa and manager Erik ten Hag said after that game that the Portuguese star was suffering from illness.

With uncertainty over his future and talk of a January move away from Old, it means Ronaldo could have played his last game for United.

United have Bruno Fernandes available again after a Premier League suspension, and he starts in support of both Martial and Marcus Rashford.

Martial was back in the starting line-up on Thursday night as United twice came from behind to beat Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup, and got on the scoresheet in an impressive hour-long showing.

Martial and Fernandes, who also scored, provided more evidence of their fine connection on the pitch, while Rashford continues to improve week on week.

Youngster Alejandro Garnacho continues to catch the eye and is back on the bench today. Both Antony and Jadon Sancho were assessed ahead of kick-off and miss out.

In defence, with Diogo Dalot suspended after picking up five yellow cards, Tyrell Malacia starts at right-back.

With Raphael Varane also out, Harry Maguire would have been hoping for more minutes ahead of the World Cup but is on the bench.
