Man United Vs Everton Preview
Ruben Amorim is set for his first Premier League Old Trafford outing as Man United boss this weekend. The 39-year-old did get off to a winning start in front of United supporters in the Europa League on Thursday.
The Red Devils got the better of Bodo/Glimt at the Theatre of Dreams in a topsy turvy encounter. Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring inside a minute before the Norwegians took a surprise 2-1 lead.
However, Rasmus Hojlund hit a brace to save United’s and Amorim’s blushes – securing a 3-2 victory. That result leaves last season’s FA Cup winners in 12th position in Europe’s secondary club competition table.
Ironically, United share the exact same position in England’s top-flight going into GW13. A win would likely lift the Red Devils back into the top-half.
On Amorim’s maiden voyage in the hotseat, he could only navigate a point at Portman Road. Marcus Rashford netted inside two minutes before Omari Hutchinson levelled for Ipswich with a deflected stunner.
The former Sporting Lisbon manager will be hoping for another fast start on home soil as he aims to clinch his first Premier League victory.

Everton Seek To Upset Ruben’s Reds
Throughout November, Everton have blanked in all three of their Premier League games. A surprise 1-0 defeat to Southampton was followed up with back-to-back 0-0 draws against West Ham and Brentford.
The lack of goals is becoming a cause for concern on the blue half of Merseyside. The Toffees top scorer is midfielder Dwight McNeil who has three to his name in the top-flight.
Last time out against the Bees, Sean Dyche’s side failed to capitalise after Christian Norgaard was shown a straight red card for a dangerous tackle on Jordan Pickford. The defender’s ban has since been overturned on appeal.
The Blues are without a victory in England’s elite since beating Ipswich at Portman Road in October. They need to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later or a relegation battle will ensue.
However, the chance to beat Ruben’s reds will provide all the motivation they need to get back on track. And to bag the bragging rights over a fierce rival.
Ahead of the match, the best football betting sites in the UK make United the 4/7 favourites. The draw can be backed at 7/2 with Everton priced at 11/2.
Man Utd Vs Everton Team News
Ruben Amorim only has defensive injuries to concern himself with going into Sunday’s clash. Summer signing Leny Yoro is nearing full fitness after he suffered a fractured foot in pre-season.
England defender Harry Maguire is also a concern alongside Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans. Other than that, Man United have a clean bill of health.
Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw are in line to feature. Tyrell Malacia even received some much-needed minutes on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, Everton will be without captain Seamus Coleman but the Irishman has now returned to full training. James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam will also miss out.
It’s unlikely that Armando Broja will feature either as he is still building up his fitness after suffering an achilles problem.
Jarrad Branthwaite came through last weekend’s stalemate unscathed so he will start at centre-back. Dominic Calvert-Lewin will lead the attack.
Man United Vs Everton Predicted Lineups

Everton (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Doucoure, Gueye; Lindstrom, McNeil, Ndiaye; Calvert-Lewin
Man United Vs Everton Prediction
It’s hard to envisage a frenzy of goals with both sides lacking a real cutting edge in the Premier League so far this season. Also, Everton are proving very hard to breakdown.
Man United should have enough about them to grab all three points. We are predicting a low scoring affair that’ll see Ruben Amorim clinch his first Premier League win.
Prediction: Man United 1-0 Everton
