Here are your Manchester United morning headlines for Thursday, June 30.
Malacia leaves United trio with uncertain futures
Tyrell Malacia looks as though he will be the man to finally end United fans’ long wait for a first new signing of the summer. United have agreed a €15million deal to sign the left-back from Feyenoord as they hijack Lyon’s attempts to secure his services.
With the 22-year-old’s expected arrival, there will inevitably be some questions over United’s other options at left-back. Despite that, Luke Shaw is still recognised as the club’s first-choice option in that department.

Nevertheless, the England international is approaching the final year of his contract at Old Trafford, although United do have the option of a further year. Malacia’s arrival will see the futures of Brandon Williams and Alex Telles thrown into doubt.
The moment Ten Hag spotted ‘amazing’ Malacia
Malacia’s arrival might well take a few fans by surprise. Left-back wasn’t one of the positions that was immediately seen as a priority following last season’s debacle.
That could though give a good indication of just how highly the 22-year-old is rated by Erik ten Hag. The United boss came up against the Netherlands international regularly with Ajax, and was clearly left impressed by his displays.
One moment in particular in which Ten Hag immediately recognises Malacia’s quality has been caught in camera. The brilliant clip, which has been shared online, shows the new United boss telling one of his assistants to “take note” of the left-back during a game against Feyenoord.
