Man United's predicted XI for Leeds United clash amid injury crisis and Casemiro suspension

Manchester United are in the midst of an injury crisis on top of Brazilian star Casemiro's suspension as they prepare for Leeds United's first fixture without manager Jesse Marsch after he was sacked on Monday afternoon.

The Red Devils are currently treating five injured players as they host the Whites on Wednesday night, with forwards Antony and Anthony Martial set to miss out alongside midfielder Scott McTominay.

"They [McTominay and Martial] are not involved tomorrow," Man United manager Erik ten Hag said in his pre-match press conference. "The same with Antony, also not available tomorrow, so we have to sort it out."

Danish international Christian Eriksen is also missing after he suffered an ankle injury in recent weeks, while Donny van de Beek is sidelined for the rest of the season.

Casemiro was sent off following a long VAR check in their clash with Crystal Palace over the weekend when he grabbed Will Hughes by the throat and will serve a three-match ban - a ban that United are not prepared to appeal.

With those players all missing, it could see some old faces return to the starting line-up alongside some fresh ones. Jadon Sancho in for Antony is a move Ten Hag could make, although the England star hasn't started a match since late October.

The suspension to Casemiro and Eriksen's injury could see Deadline Day loan signing Marcel Sabitzer be given his first start in a Man United shirt while Wout Weghorst is set to continue up front with the absence of Martial.

Manchester United Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Fred, Sabitzer; Sancho, Fernandes, Rashford; Weghorst.
