Alex Telles has finished third in the Champions League Goal of the Tournament competition.
Telles enjoyed more minutes last term, with Luke Shaw struggling with injury and failing to consistently perform. The left-back started in three Champions League matches and his goal against Villarreal at Old Trafford was a strike to remember.
United were losing 1-0 against Villarreal when Telles scored an equaliser with an outstanding volley from outside the box. United eventually won that game thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a late and dramatic winner deep into stoppage time

However, it was Telles' strike that was in contention to win Goal of the Tournament. The results of the competition were released on Monday and Telles came third, finishing ahead of Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski.

2: Lionel Messi (PSG 2 Man City 0)
3: Alex Telles (United 2 Villarreal 1)
Back in December, Telles admitted that scoring the goal was one of the best moments of his career to date.
“That was one of the most beautiful moments of my career, it's a moment I will never forget," Telles said. "Firstly, because I was playing in a Champions League match for Manchester United and secondly, scoring a goal in that context.
“We were behind, then we equalised, then turned the score around, it was a remarkable evening, an unforgettable evening. I share the merit of that goal with Bruno [Fernandes] because that pass was his idea.
“Obviously because of my hard work, confidence and skill that I know I have I was able to score that goal. I will never forget that moment. The main thing is making the fans happy, I will never forget how happy they were in the stadium that night.”
