Here are your Manchester United evening headlines for Thursday, June 9:
Where United stand on Garnacho amid Juventus links
Alejandro Garnacho was arguably the breakout star of United’s FA Youth Cup triumph this year. Still just 17 years old, he’s now seen as the club’s next big star.
As well as guiding United to their first Youth Cup win since 2011, the teenager has made his first team debut and even received a call-up to Argentina’s national side, and is now being considered as a wildcard selection for their World Cup squad later this year. Of course, that sort of progression inevitably leads to transfer speculation.

Juventus are the latest club to be linked with the former Atletico Madrid youngster. The good news for United fans though is talks are progressing over a new contract, with the club keen to reward Garnacho for his development over the past year.
Ten Hag keen to keep highly rated coach
It is of course all change this summer as Erik ten Hag begins his spell as United manager. The Dutchman has brought his own support staff with him, with Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren named as his assistants as the club undergo a clear-out from Ralf Rangnick’s time in charge.
Chris Armas, Ewan Sharp and sports psychologist Sascha Lense have all left the club. Mike Phelan meanwhile has been told he will have no part in the first team setup next season, with discussions continuing over an exit from Old Trafford.
Ten Hag though is keen to retain an existing member of the club’s backroom staff. United want to keep Eric Ramsay to work alongside the Dutchman, despite the 30-year-old being on the shortlist to take over as Barnsley’s new manager.
