Man United 'open to transfer offers' for Marcus Rashford in January

Manchester United are reportedly open to transfer offers for Marcus Rashford in the January transfer window.

Rashford has enjoyed a mini-resurgence under new boss Ruben Amorim. He has three Premier League goals in four matches under the Portuguese boss but is yet to nail down a starting spot.

The United academy graduate has struggled to replicate the form of his 30-goal season in the 2022/23 campaign, leading to questions over his future.

He also made the headlines for the wrong reasons last season. Disciplinary issues and struggles in front of goals saw the 27-year-old draw criticism from former boss Erik ten Hag.

And the forward, who reportedly earns £325,000 a week, could now be set for the exit, according to reports in Germany.

Marcus Rashford Transfer: His Mammoth Salary Could See Man United Offload

United would be open to a transfer for Marcus Rashford, according to Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.

It is claimed that while his form has improved, the academy graduate is not immune from being moved on. Should they not receive any serious offers next month, United would be open to a sale next summer.

Rashford’s mammoth wages may also be a key reason in getting the striker off their books. Freeing up Rashford’s reported £325,00-a-week wage would also benefit United’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) situation.

Doing so may give Amorim the support needed to help bring players to mould the squad in his image.

United part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has undergone cost-cutting measures at Old Trafford and getting one of their biggest-paid football stars off their books could be a viable option.

Saudi Arabia And PSG Could Be Options For Rashford

Rashford has been linked with a moves to PSG and Saudi Arabia in the past. A move in January remains unlikely due to Rashford’s wages and contract but the likes of PSG and Saudi Arabian clubs have the financial power to afford such a move.

According to The Telegraph, there is a greater chance that a move for Rashford would come in the summer.

The England international has scored 138 goals for United since breaking into the first team as an 18-year-old in 2016.

Rashford’s current United deal runs until 2028.
