Man United interim boss Ralf Rangnick sends Donny van de Beek message after Everton loan

Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick is convinced Donny van de Beek will show his quality during his loan spell at Everton.

The Dutch midfielder sealed a move to Goodison Park on transfer deadline day and will remain with the Toffees until the end of the season.

Van de Beek struggled for opportunities at United since joining from Ajax in the summer of 2020, making just four Premier League starts for the club.

However, the Dutchman is set for a far more prominent role under new Toffees boss Frank Lampard and Rangnick is backing the 24-year-old to flourish at Everton.

''In the end it is a question of competition. He told United’s official website .

''He didn’t get enough game time, but that is not to say he is not good enough to play in the Premier League or for Manchester United.

''I am pretty sure he will get the game time at Everton and show what kind of quality player he can be.

''He is a fantastic person. In the last nine or ten weeks whilst I have got to know him in person, I am fully aware he is a fantastic team player and I wish him all the very best.''

Van de Beek won’t make his debut during the Toffees' fourth round FA Cup clash against Brentford on Saturday as he is cup-tie.

However, he could feature in Tuesday’s crucial trip to Newcastle.
