Man United eye transfer as Nottingham Forest plan continues

Nottingham Forest loanee Dean Henderson reportedly "does not want to return" to Old Trafford at the end of this season's loan spell.

Henderson, 25, has started all 15 matches in the Premier League so far this season after arriving at the City Ground on loan from Man United. Four clean sheets have followed and 30 goals conceded, a tally aided by the Reds goalkeeper's impressive performances.

This form, alongside an untimely injury to Jordan Pickford, saw the one-cap England international recalled by Gareth Southgate in September for a pair of Nations League matches against Italy and Germany. Henderson remained an unused substitute for both and ultimately missed out on a place in the World Cup squad. Still, it nonetheless represented a recall to the national team for the first time since last summer's European Championship.

That development, and more so the player's performances for Steve Cooper's side, will have pleased the player's parent club. The website 90min report that United hope his form for Forest this season will attract interest from clubs interested in facilitating a permanent departure from the club.

Both player and club also appear to be on the same page as it is added that Henderson is not wanting to go back to the Old Trafford club at the end of this season. Whether a permanent move to the East Midlands is a possibility remains to be seen, but any extended stay at Forest would need to be negotiated as there is no option to make the move permanent at this stage.
