Manchester United could hand two youngsters the chance to shine in this evening's Carabao Cup second leg against Nottingham Forest.
The Red Devils already have one foot in the final after a 3-0 first leg win at the City Ground and may use tonight as an opportunity to rotate their squad. Erik ten Hag's side are currently dealing with an incredibly packed schedule, with Forest the first of nine matches in less than a month.
Both Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay are long-term absentees and so to ease the workload on the likes of Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo could be handed just his second ever senior start. The 17 year-old played an hour in the win over Charlton Athletic in the previous round, with ten Hag clearly now seeing him as a potential option.

Elsewhere, a full debut could be handed to Facundo Pellistri should ten Hag opt to hand first choice right-winger Antony a rest. Pellistri has good pedigree given he is a full Uruguayan international, but is yet to start for the Red Devils and tonight could be seen as the perfect opportunity to change that.
Man United could also welcome back Jadon Sancho into the squad this evening for the first time since October. Sancho has recently been given some time away from the squad to build up his mental and physical fitness, but is now back in full training and ready to return.
