A foodie who loves a good KFC decided to put his gut to a test when he attempted to smash a whole menu in just one hour.
Kyle Gibson, 22, decided he wanted to try everything his favourite fried chicken outlet had to offer and splashed out £80 for the whole menu.
His entire meal was 12,000 calories, meaning Kyle had a week's worth of calories in just one hour.
The young man was unable to get through the whole thing but got through 90 per cent of it.
Kyle, from Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne and Wear, said "food coma hit instantly" and he had to take a nap afterwards.
His massive dish included two buckets of chicken, popcorn chicken, hot wings, corn, beans, gravy, chips, spicy rice, Zinger Burger, Zinger Stacker Burger, two mini fillet burgers, chicken strips, cookies, muffins, salad, fillet burger, tower burger, Christmas gravy burger and a litre of Pepsi.
Kyle said: “Say what you want about takeaway food, KFC is exactly what it says on the tin, finger-licking good.
“I had wanted to try the whole menu for a while just to see if I had the stamina to do it, I’ve always been a fan of fried chicken and these guys do it best.
“I don’t think anyone has done it before and I can see why, it cost just over £80 which stung a bit.
“I couldn’t believe how much there was, I have eaten some crazy meals in my time but this is right up there, I knew instantly I wasn’t going to finish it.
“It was difficult to work out how to eat it when I first put it all on the table, I wasn’t sure where to start so I just dived into the buckets first.
“I started to get full pretty quick and the beans and chips proved to be too much for me although I would love to try it again and finish it all.
“I really like KFC, I hadn’t been there for a while and the staff were great and were laughing at all the food I had ordered.
“When I was looking down at the plate and it had maybe a kilogram of chips left on it I had to bow out pretty soon after, it was just too much.
“The food coma hit instantly, I could barely move after, it was about 12,000 calories all together so about a week’s worth of calories in an hour.
“The salad was the worst part, I don’t think salads should be sold in these places, they’re for cheat days and a salad is not cheating.”
Hilariously, even though the meal became too much, Kyle refused to pass on his dessert.
He said: “I mean yeah I was very full, but desert is desert, and no cookie can be left behind.
“If anything, the cookies were the best part, so I’m glad I saved them for last because I didn’t feel so defeated when I managed to get those down me.”
