Man cries and tells pregnant partner 'I'm sorry' as he's jailed for smuggling drugs into Creamfields
A man was jailed for trying to smuggle around £1,500 of MDMA into Creamfields for him and his friends.
Reiss White, 31, of Wensleydale, Tamworth was searched as he made his way through the northern entry to the festival site in Daresbury at around 6pm on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Mark Phillips, prosecuting at Chester Crown Court on Thursday, said officers from Cheshire Police searched White and found he was carrying a phone, a two-day ticket and two packages of the Class A drug MDMA.
Mr Phillips said the first package contained 25.9 grams of powder MDMA worth from £400-£1,480, and the second had 50 pills worth about £500.

Kwasi Kwarteng sacked as Chancellor amid chaos in government
Kwasi Kwarteng has been sacked as the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Kwasi Kwarteng was summoned back to Downing Street from the United States today amid chaotic scenes following his disastrous mini-budget announcement last month. His announcement of billions of pounds of unfunded tax cuts shocked the markets and saw the pound crash.
New Prime Minister Liz Truss, who only appointed her ideological ally as Chancellor in early September, has already performed a number of screeching u-turns on the pair's flagship plans and is expected to do another on Corporation Tax today.

Major change set to cause travel chaos on Merseyside road
A temporary change to a Merseyside road is set to cause travel chaos.
The speed limit on the Formby Bypass is set to be changed to 30mph and the footpath used by pedestrians and cyclists will also be shut while work is completed. The traffic regulation order was up for decision earlier this week, with it being decided that a temporary speed limit would be introduced to a section of the A road.
Sefton Council came to the conclusion that it would be suitable that the current 50mph and 60mph sections of road that passes Woodvale RAF base between Dunlop Avenue, Woodvale and Southport Road, Formby, has the speed limit dropped while work is undertaken on the walking and cycle path.
