A man in his 30s was Tasered and taken to custody after police were called to reports of a domestic assault in Failsworth.
Officers were called to Clough Road at around 2am where they attempted to detain a suspect who was resisting arrest and making threats.
A Taser was used during the incident to 'ensure the safety of all involved' and the man was arrested.

He remains in custody and will be questioned on suspicion of assault and affray.
A spokesperson for GMP said: "We were called at 2am to a report of a domestic assault at an address on Clough Road, Failsworth.
"Officers attended and attempted to detain a suspect who was resisting arrest and making threats.
"To ensure the safety of all involved, a Taser was used and a man in his 30s was arrested.
"He remains in custody and will be questioned on suspicion of assault and affray."
